This very attractive rep-weave rug will add a touch of mid-century style to your floors. It was inspired by (and evokes) Frank Lloyd Wright’s stained-glass windows.
The project is wonderful as woven here—and it’s also an opportunity to put the 8/4 cotton warp that’s languishing in your stash to good use. If you take a closer look at the pictures, you’ll see that many of the warp stripes are made up of mixed colors with similar values. From a distance, those mixtures add a subtle depth to the stripes. Weave your version using mixtures of your own greens, golds, and tans—or pull together groups of colors that will work well in your home.
